Bad business practice

This company was referred by our agent so our first inspection was through them as soon as the offer of the house was accepted then got a list of things need to be repaired around end of April. We pick them again for re-inspection right before closing thinking they have the record of everything. It was inspector Nathan Ross for the re-inspection and worked on the 10 things we pick from the 1st inspection report for $150.00. He made announcement that all things are good after the re-inspection so the sale of the house completed the same day on 5/29/2014. According to the sales agreement, the seller won't turn over the house to seller until end of June so around mid of July everything got pretty much settled. The Sprinkler System was programmed by the previous owner running late at night and not until the week of 7/21 - 7/25 while I was walking my dog one late night; I found water running through the street from watering and spotted a major leak right by the mail box. I started checking on the Sprinkler System the next day & found out none of the things on the re-inspection specifically on Sprinkler System was fixed. There are total of 10 heads needs to be replaced plus a major leak. I emailed the company that Sunday and made the follow up call Monday morning, Diana Cantu (office manager) said will look into that then have someone to get back to me. Scott Partin (probably the head of the inspectors) was the guy who called back asking me what's going on since Diana didn't explain anything to him(that's bad for a business not knowing what the call back was for) so I explained what had happened. I told Scott the inspector Nathan for the re-inspection failed to examine the Sprinkler System because none of the things need to be repaired on the list was fixed. Instantly, Scott said it's been two months & it must be the mowing guys ruined the Sprinkler System damaging the heads & caused the leak while doing the edging. I asked if he is joking or not & again he told me it's the mowing guys damaged the heads & caused the leak. The guy I hired owns a landscape company and not some guys I pick from the street plus the leak is about 8" down from the ground. I told Scott the seller is responsible for the repair if this was caught on the re-inspection and now it has to be out of my pocket because of their mistake. Scott refused to compensate anything or at least to refund the fee for re-inspection and kept blaming on the mowing guys. After the rejection, I contacted a Sprinkler System Repair company immediately since water bill is very high due to the leak. Fortunately, the repair co. was able to come by after 6pm that same day to fix & replace all the heads plus the leak next day morning. Scott called back Tue. late afternoon stating they will take care of the Sprinkler System issue after the repair has been completed. I advised Scott already had some co. to come by to repair it right after his rejection. Scott stated will talk to the owner and go from there. I haven't heard from anyone since then. I am currently filing a complaint again them with BBB since they refused to compensate my repair fee also lied about the re-inspection. The inspector failed to re-inspect the sprinkler system because I was there the whole time and can't believe those liars.
